Success Time is one of our district’s eight steps to improving student academic achievement. It is an additional 30 minutes of math instruction and practice that students in all grades receive every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. During this time students are dispersed into smaller groups to practice the former week’s math skills for greater understanding. This time may help catch up students who are having difficulty, maintain skills for long term memory, or provide an opportunity for challenge/enrichment. Students are placed based on the most current classroom assessment and/or teacher feedback and may move from group to group as often as the mathematical goals or their progress changes.
